6 month cuteness
Its hard to imagine K is 6 months (well now almost 8 months I am a little behind in the blogging world). She has brought so much joy and happiness to our lives. She is such a happy baby who loves to explore, touch everything, and put anything she can get a hold of in her mouth! She has 2 teeth and she is starting to crawl. My friend Michelle took some pics to capture her beauty! I am completely head over heels in love with this little beauty and she has daddy fully wrapped around her tiny finger..

Pumpkin Patch 2010
Kennedy is having her very first Halloween this year!! We decided to take her to the pumpkin patch to pick out her very first pumpkin... Grammie Jennie came with us too!! It was a very special afternoon for K. She loved all the pumpkins and watched in awe at the "big kid" slides and children as they ran by. I know someday she will be on those "big kid" slides but for now I am happy she is my sweet little baby and I am cherishing every minute of her life. mommy even made her a pumpkin patch dress for the occasion!!
Red Wagon
Kennedy recieved her first Christmas present!! A shiny new red wagon from grandma and grandpa Swearingen. She absolutely loves it to say the least. She had her first ride around the yard, then to the pumpkin patch, and next week to Oak Glen for some fall pictures!! Thank you grammie and grandpa for her new ride!! I love her expression when we put her in the wagon for the first time.

Photography and photoshop
Today I had the pleasure of learning about photography and photoshop with my friend Dawn. I am finally learning some things about my DSLR camera that I have had before Kennedy's arrival. We took some pics of K (Who was a good model until it came time for her nap) and did some photoshopping. I came home with a lot of information and even a book on how to photoshop. I am excited to learn how to take nice pics of K and capture her life as she grows, and learning a new skill along the way isn't bad either. I had a lot of fun while learning and we shared a lot of laughs in between pics trying to get K to smile. When daddy made his arrival it was huge smiles all around from K. I am very appreciative of the time Dawn spent on K's pics and all the teaching she did with me today!! Very excited for her next shoot and Bruisers too!! God has truly blessed us with a BEAUTIFUL and healthy baby!!

Sewing
I have found a new love... Sewing!! My friend Michelle was kind enough to let me borrow her sewing machine when I was pregnant so I could prove to Trav that I would use one. I started out sewing burp clothes and small things. So I got my sewing machine for my birthday and I have to admit it sat in the unopened box for about 4 months. I bought Kennedy the cutest A-line dress. My Aunt Becky told me how easy they were to make so we decided to make some for Kennedy. I LOVE making them for her. She looks adorable in anything that she wears but these are so cute on her. Aunt B and I just finished our 5th dress for her. I do have to say each one we do they get cuter and cuter. I have also added car seat covers and boppy covers to my list of things I am able to sew :)
Napping in K's crib
After all the hard work we put into Kennedy's room you think she would love it... Wrong!! She does not like her crib and protests every second she has to be in it. This was the first time I had to show her "tough love". It was not easy but at the end of the day we were both happy. Everytime I thought she was sleeping I would sneak in there to see, and she would look up at me with bright blue eyes and a beautiful smile. Here are a few pics of napping in her crib for the first time.
thinking her cute smile would get her out of the crib
She finally gave up and went to sleep after about 1 hour of protest

Kennedy's first solid food
So today is one day before Kennedy turns 4 months old. We decided to give her some organic brown rice cereal to try for the first time. I am not sure she is a fan of the taste or texture. The look on her face was priceless as she took her first spoonful of rice cereal. She spit a whole mouthful of runny rice cereal back at me. Even though she hated each bite she kept going back for more ;)

First Swim with daddy
Finally at 3 1/2 months old Kennedy got to go in our pool for her first swim. She loves bath time so I just knew she would love the pool (which is nicely heated to 95 degrees with our solar) She loved the water, but she hated the sunglasses and continued making a grunting sound until we removed them. She loved being in the pool but she didn't appreciate the few splashes Zeus gave her as he swam by her chasing his toys in the water.
Summer Activities
So Travis decided to plan a special weekend for our 6th Anniversary. One of the first dates we went on was to the San Diego Zoo. Trav decided to take Kennedy and I for a weekend of fun. The first day he planned a trip to Disneyland where we got season passes and went to downtown Disney and had beignets. After that we went to Newport Beach and went to Rockin Baja Lobster. It was super yummy! Kennedy was so tired she was loudly snoring as we arrived home.
The next morning Trav planned to take us to the zoo. K slept about the first hour we were there. It probably wasn't a bad thing since we were lost in the lost jungle for about 2 hours. It is a lot harder to get around with a stroller too!! The Le's met us at the zoo with their two adorable little boys. I got a lesson on marsupials and dung beetles from my own personal little tour guide!!
After the zoo we met my very good friend Stephanie (We went to PA school together) at Ponte Winery for a little dinner. It was delicious and we had great company.
I had the perfect weekend spending time with my family friends.
